A life remembered
Mrs. Savitri Balgobin, aged 56, of Vistabella, San Fernando, passed peacefully on the 6th of July 2026, deeply mourned by her family and friends.
Born and raised in San Fernando, she was a devout member of the San Fernando Jama Masjid and a dressmaker celebrated for the Eid and wedding garments that came from her hands. Kind, devout and quick to laughter, she is survived by her husband Imtiaz, her children Aleem, Fazal and Nadia, her grandchildren, and a host of relatives across Trinidad & Tobago and the diaspora.

Service & interment
- ✦Janazah (funeral) prayers will be held at the San Fernando Jama Masjid, followed by burial at the Muslim Cemetery, San Fernando. Family and friends are kindly asked to wear light colours. No flowers by request — donations may be made in her memory to the San Fernando General Hospital.
