J. E. Guide Funeral Home & Crematorium Ltd.
Family driven. Family centred. Walking with you, with dignity and care.

How we work.
J. E. Guide Funeral Home & Crematorium Ltd. is the third generation of a San Fernando family of funeral directors. The lineage began with Corsbie's Funeral Home, the first funeral home in the city of San Fernando to provide horse-and-carriage processions. In 1945, Mr Jorsling Emmanuel Guide — son-in-law of Mr John Corsbie — founded Guide's Funeral Home, the second generation of the family business.
“A family-owned and operated funeral home, we treat every family who comes to us with the same care and compassion we would give our own. Still family-driven after three generations of service.”
Mr J. E. Guide ran the firm alongside his wife and family matriarch, Mrs Enez Guide, and they were later joined by their daughter Carol Guide in 1975. Following Mr Guide's passing in 2009, his children assumed control, and J. E. Guide Funeral Home & Crematorium Ltd. began operations in 2010. The family continues to honour the high standard of care that was the hallmark of its founders.
For more than seventy years, the Guide family has walked alongside families across Trinidad & Tobago in their most tender moments. Regardless of community, religion, creed, ethnicity or income level, we serve each family with compassion and respect — offering competitive, fair pricing with flexible terms so that dignity is never out of reach.
From our historic head office at 120 Coffee Street, San Fernando, and our branch at Craignish Village in Princes Town, we offer traditional burial, cremation at our own crematorium, pre-planning, embalming, repatriation and more — available any hour, day or night. Two locations, one standard of care.

Every arrangement is tailored to the family’s wishes. These are the services most often asked of us — speak with our team for anything not listed here.

Traditional Burial
Traditional funeral arrangements and ground-burial coordination, tailored to honour the individual and their faith. Our funeral coordinators handle the paperwork, transportation and logistics so the family can focus on saying goodbye.

Cremation Services
Cremation offers families a meaningful alternative to burial. Our sky-view crematorium allows immediate family to witness the cremation safely from an outer enclosure, and a hand-crafted clay urn is provided to the family at no additional cost.

Professional embalming, restoration and preparation of the deceased — allowing time for arrangements and the option of an open-casket viewing. Embalming is also carried out where a body must leave or enter the country.

What families say.
We have dealt with J.E. Guide's funeral home for the past six years and their service was beyond exceptional. Their professionalism and customer care far outweigh any other service that we ever encountered.
I want to express my sincere appreciation to Miss Angie at the funeral home. In a difficult time for our family she treated us with kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. Every question was answered clearly.
