A life remembered
Mrs. Devika Ramroop, aged 61, of Rio Claro, in the Mayaro/Rio Claro district, passed peacefully on 21 March 2026, comforted by the love of her family.
Born and raised in Rio Claro, she was a devout Hindu and a familiar face at the local mandir, where her warmth and generosity were well known. For more than three decades she worked as a caterer, and her cooking graced countless weddings, pujas and village gatherings across the district. She is survived by her husband, her children Anil, Reshma and Vijay, her cherished grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends across Trinidad & Tobago and the diaspora.

Service & interment
- ✦Prayers will be held at the family home in Rio Claro, followed by a service at the Rio Claro Hindu Mandir.
- ✦Cremation will take place at the Shore of Peace Cremation Site, Mosquito Creek, La Romaine.
- ✦The family kindly asks mourners to wear white; in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Rio Claro Health Centre.
