A life remembered
Mrs. Merle La Rose, aged 74, of Woodbrook, Port of Spain, passed peacefully on Wednesday, 24th June 2026, at home surrounded by her family.
A lifelong resident of Woodbrook, Merle was a faithful member of the Woodbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she kept the Sabbath with quiet devotion and served on the welfare committee for many years. She worked for decades as a clerk in the city, valued for her precision and her gentle courtesy. She is survived by her husband Lloyd, her children Natasha, Wendell and Camille, her grandchildren, and a wide circle of church family, relatives and friends across Trinidad & Tobago and the diaspora.
Funeral arrangements
Service & interment
- ✦A funeral service will be held at the Woodbrook Seventh-day Adventist Church, followed by interment at Lapeyrouse Cemetery, Port of Spain. The family kindly invites mourners to wear white or soft colours. No flowers by request — donations may be made to the Adventist welfare fund in her name.
