A life remembered
Mr. Nazim Khan, aged 89, of Mayaro, in the Mayaro/Rio Claro district, passed peacefully on 25 April 2026, in the comfort of his home and family.
Born and raised in Mayaro, he was a devoted member of the Mayaro Muslim community and a regular at the local masjid. A respected motor mechanic, he served the drivers and fishermen of the district for over half a century, known for his honesty and his willingness to help any neighbour. He is survived by his children Ashmead, Nazreen and Feroze, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of relatives across Trinidad & Tobago and the diaspora.

Service & interment
- ✦Janazah (funeral) prayers will be held at the Mayaro Jama Masjid, in keeping with Muslim rites. Burial will follow the same day at the Mayaro Muslim Cemetery. Mourners are kindly asked to wear modest, light clothing; in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Mayaro District Health Facility.
