A life remembered
Mr. Ramesh Bissoon, aged 74, of Rio Claro, Mayaro/Rio Claro, passed peacefully on 14th May 2026, surrounded by his family.
Born and raised in the Rio Claro district, Ramesh spent a lifetime of honest labour on the sugar estates and later tending his own garden, respected across the village for his steady hand and his readiness to help a neighbour. A devoted Hindu, he worshipped at the Rio Claro Hindu Mandir and observed its rites with quiet devotion. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Ramdaye, his sons Sunil and Deopaul, his daughter Radha, and his many grandchildren, relatives and friends across Trinidad & Tobago and the diaspora.
Funeral arrangements
Service & interment
- ✦Prayers will be held at the family home in Rio Claro, followed by a service at the Rio Claro Hindu Mandir.
- ✦The cremation will take place at the Shore of Peace Cremation Site, Mosquito Creek, La Romaine.
- ✦Mourners are kindly asked to wear white. No flowers by request; donations may be made to the Rio Claro Health Centre in his memory.
